Paint me puffed up because Royal Thunder has announced the tracking of their next effort. I’ve always touted these three as an ideal band to “get your friend into Metal” band, but that’s not to say this isn’t perfect for fans of fantastic rock n’ blues rooted music altogether. MLny Parsonz sordid stories of regret, survival stroke a solemn memory during every successive listen. I’m sure we can expect more of the same given their dedication to the game touring in large bursts. Losing no traction. Some notables included last year’s performances at both Bonnaroo and Roadburn, and if memory serves there’s only one other band that can claim both slots last year.
They continue to add to that resume with a performance at this year’s Hellfest. Bassist/Vocalist MLny Parsonz had the following to share about the writing process:
“We meet again with our long time friend and producer Joey Jones at Aria Recording Studio in Marietta. We have no idea what this next album is going to sound like! We are anxious to see what the outcome will be. With that being said, we have NO agenda, NO formula, NO limits. This one is for the gods of rock! As always, thank you ALL for your support. See you on the road with these new songs! Until then, be well!”
Glory to gods of rock fizzes tall in the glass of hyperbolic expectations, but I’m certainly not disagreeing. If you doubt me, click play below. You’ll only need the first track, Parsonz Curse, for addiction to settle. If I was wrong, tell me in a comment. I’m sure I’ll smile.
“The band is once again tracking at Aria Recording Studio with producer Joey Jones in Marietta, GA and the album is expected to see a Fall 2014 release via Relapse Records.”
